You can be part of THECA by enjoying our events as a member, by volunteering some time, or lending your organisation’s support

Come along to an event and consider joining, lend us a hand (whether it’s a day of weeding each month or helping around the Hut), or talk to us about how your organisation could contribute.

    We’d love you to join us - come along to an event first if you like!

    As a member you can borrow from our Library, receive your copy of THECA News, and have access to our specialist equipment. We have camera-traps, bat detectors, audio-recording gear, and a thermal imaging scope! You can attend our events for free, or at reduced member rates. You will also be able to purchase THECA items at special prices. Above all, you’ll be directly supporting THECA’s environmental Education mission!

  • Volunteer

    We are a volunteer group focused on conserving the local environment and educating the community on natural history and environmental issues. THECA offers a range of volunteer opportunities, including bush rehabilitation, wildlife monitoring, office support, displays, centre staffing, and special projects.

  • Corporate volunteering

    We always welcome corporate volunteers to help with THECA projects. This help can include tree planting, weeding, protection of vines essential for the rare Richmond birdwing butterfly, maintenance tasks or occasional Hut clean-ups and administration. AusCo Modular have supported us in bushcare activities since 2023.
